Marketing for cafés and bars in Tirana

Tirana has more cafés per head than almost any European city, and that changes the game entirely. You are not competing to be the only option; you are competing to be the chosen one among twenty places within a five-minute walk. Marketing here is about distinctiveness, not reach.

Why work with us

Where customers are lost today

The average Tirana café posts a photo of a cappuccino with no context and hopes it brings customers.

  • Content identical to every other café: a coffee photo with no context
  • No Google Business Profile, or no photos of the space and terrace
  • No information about wifi, power sockets, or whether you can work there
  • No website and no English presence for foreigners

How your customers search

People do not search “café”; they search for a café that solves a specific need.

  • Need: “cafe to work from Tirana”, “cafe with wifi”, “quiet cafe for a meeting”
  • Quality: “specialty coffee Tirana”, “good coffee Tirana”, “best espresso”
  • Occasion: “bar with live music Tirana”, “where to get a drink in the evening”
  • Practical: “cafe open early”, “cafe with terrace”, “dog friendly bar”

How does it work?

The work follows the same order for every client, because the steps depend on each other.

  • 1. Pick one thing you are best at and build everything around it: specialty coffee, a place to work, the terrace, or music.
  • 2. A Google Business Profile with accurate attributes: wifi, sockets, terrace, pets, early hours.
  • 3. Content showing the place and the people, not just the product, because atmosphere is what differentiates.
  • 4. An English presence for digital nomads and tourists, who are high-spend customers.

What we would measure

Cafés are hard to measure because the purchase happens physically and leaves no digital trace.

  • Direction requests and appearances in “near me” searches
  • Profile views and clicks on opening hours
  • New reviews and what they mention
  • Event attendance versus post reach

Answers before you book.

  • Rarely, and this is one of the few cases where we say it that bluntly. Coffee is bought on proximity and habit; an ad reaching someone across the city does not bring a customer. If you are going to invest, invest in the Google Business Profile and in collaborations with local accounts, or in an event that gives people a concrete reason to come. Ads make sense only for a new opening or a specific event, targeted within a one or two kilometre radius.
